What we do for schools
- Compliance testing. RCD testing and test and tag with the shorter intervals that apply to tech studies, science, food and art rooms; emergency and exit lighting 6-monthly and annually; records kept in a register the school controls.
- Maintenance and fault service. The failed lights, tripping circuits and dead outlets that a busy campus generates, attended in term without disrupting classes.
- Holiday-period works. Switchboard upgrades, LED lighting replacements, new circuits for equipment, classroom refits and external lighting, scoped during term and delivered inside the break.
- Modular classrooms. Factory fit-out and site connection of transportable classrooms, see modular building.
- Security and external lighting for car parks, ovals and after-hours access.
Working on a live campus
In term, our electricians work around timetables, sign in and out, and keep tools and leads out of the way of children. That sounds obvious and it's the thing that goes wrong most often with contractors who don't do school work. Our 6am start means a lot of term-time work is finished before the first bell. Anything that can't be done safely around students waits for the holidays.
Records
Schools get audited, and the record is the proof. Every test we do is logged by building and room, every failed device is tracked to its repair, and the register is the school's, not ours. If you change contractors, it goes with you.
