What we are
A commercial and industrial electrical contractor first, a residential electrician second, and a licensed, insured, NECA-member business throughout. The company is Kris Electrical Services Pty Ltd, ABN 16 695 355 796, trading with the CalmElec name in our logo. Our licence is PGE355384, and we’d rather you checked it than took our word for it.
The positioning we work to is simple: the responsiveness of a local electrical contractor with the experience and capability to deliver larger, more complex projects. A homeowner in Findon with a tripping safety switch and a modular building manufacturer with a production line get the same electricians and the same paperwork. The scale changes; the standard doesn’t.
What we do most
Complete factory electrical fit-outs for modular building manufacturers, including distribution boards, subcircuits, testing, commissioning, certification and site interconnection. Medical and healthcare fit-outs with body-protected areas. Maintenance and fault service for businesses, facilities and homes. Switchboard installation and upgrades, testing and compliance works. And residential electrical for new homes, renovations, lighting and security.
How we work
- A real time, not a hopeful one. The question we’re asked most is “how soon can you attend?” We answer it honestly, every time.
- A site visit before an estimate. The objection we hear most is cost, and the way we handle it is not to guess. We assess, then quote in writing, and the number on the quote is the number on the invoice.
- 6am starts, Monday to Friday. Out of hours by agreement, which we set up in advance for sites that need it rather than negotiate at 9pm.
- Everything tested and recorded. Certificates of compliance on notifiable work, and RCD, emergency lighting and thermal reports your auditor can file.
The standard we work to
We take pride in the quality of our work, and we aim to make sure every job is completed to a high standard, whether it’s a power point in a house at Findon or a production line at a factory. That’s backed by the things you can check rather than the things we say: a current SA licence, NECA membership, $20 million of public liability cover, a certificate of compliance for the installation work, and test records for the testing.

What we won’t say
We won’t claim to be 24/7, because we aren’t and the electricians who claim it usually aren’t either. We won’t quote a complicated job over the phone. We won’t sign a certificate for work we didn’t do. And we won’t put a photo on this website that isn’t 1 of our own jobs.
